The Ministry Of Social Affairs Prepares 4 Locations Of People's Schools In Central Java, Teachers From The Center

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos) has prepared the construction of public school centers in four areas in Central Java (Central Java), namely Pati, Magelang, Temanggung, and Surakarta Regencies.

"In Central Java, we have four (locations) which God willing, we will make a place to start organizing this people's school," said Social Minister Saifullah Yusuf in Semarang, Wednesday.

The construction of the people's school will use funds from the State Revenue and Expenditure Budget (APBN), including its teachers prepared by the central government.

Later, he said, the provincial and district/city governments will be asked for their support to provide land or buildings that can be revitalized into public schools.

"The budget is from the APBN. Well, we ask for the participation of the regions to provide land or in the form of revitalized buildings," he said.

He said that currently there are around 50 locations for the construction of people's schools spread across various regions, and later it will continue to grow.

"In Central Java, God willing, the Governor will participate, then the regents will participate. We hope that every city district will have at least one (people's school, ed)," he said.

The figure who is familiarly called Gus Ipul explained that people's schools are free schools intended for students from extreme and poor poor families.

He said that public schools would have a boarding school, starting from elementary school (SD), junior high school (SMP), and high school (SMA) levels.

"Gratis, all financed by the government. Then, the curriculum is a leading curriculum, excellent schools combined with situations and conditions in each region," he said.

People's schools, he said, would also prioritize residents around schools to be able to register with predetermined requirements, especially from extreme or poor poor families.

Meanwhile, Central Java (Central Java) Governor Ahmad Luthfi said several regents and mayors were willing to prepare land for the construction of public schools.

"There are five hectares and so on. Later, we will verify. This is just socialization. But, in principle we are all ready," he said.
