The Minister Of Trade Ensures That Oilita Stock Is Safe And In Accordance With The Assessment
JAKARTA - The Minister of Trade (Mendag) Budi Santoso ensured that the availability of cooking oil stocks with the oil brand was safe in the market, even though the issue of Oilita products was withdrawn from the market because the volume was less, aka less than one liter.
Furthermore, Budi said the supply of Oilita remains safe because producers are committed to doubling production. Therefore, he asked the public not to worry.
"We ensure that the availability of Oilita will exist, it will still exist, so people don't need to panic," he said at the Ministry of Trade office, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 12.
Budi emphasized that not all Oilita products are sold in the market today, the volume is less than one liter. He ensured that on the market there were also many oilitas whose volume was in accordance with the dose.
"I'm sure not all (producers) did the wrong thing, because many were circulating in the market," he said.
Previously, the Minister of Trade (Mendag) Budi Santoso said the Ministry of Trade had begun to attract simple packaged cooking oil products for the Oilita brand, with a dose of less than one liter circulating in the market.
"(Our oil with a dose of less than 1 liter) has been withdrawn in the field. We have started to pull it out," Budi told reporters in Jakarta, Monday, March 10.
Budi said the case of Oilita with a dose of less than 1 liter was not the first time it had been found. According to Budi, it was previously found on January 24, 2025.
Furthermore, Budi said the violation was carried out by PT Navyta Nabati Indonesia (NNI) and the case had been resolved by sealing the company so that it could no longer operate.

Then, continued Budi, a similar case was found on March 7. Where the violation was committed by PT Artha Eka Global Asia (AEGA) by reducing the dose of Oilita packaging.
"We actually received a report on the 7th and we have supervised PT AEGA (Artha Eka Global Asia) on Tole Iskandar Street. Yes, on the 7th we went to Tole Iskandar Street in Depok. But the company is closed, "he explained.
However, continued Budi, the Ministry of Trade again conducted an investigation and found a Oilita factory owned by PT AEGA moving locations to Karawang.
"Well, now we are investigating, now we have met the company to move to Karawang. Today the Police Task Force team and the Ministry of Trade are in Karawang. Yes, so we are still waiting for the report," he said.

Budi said the Ministry of Trade was aware of a producer of Oilita who committed fraud related to inappropriate doses, aka less than 1 liter, as determined by the government.
Furthermore, Budi said the information regarding fraud was obtained from the public and the Ministry of Trade team who went directly to the field.
