The Minister Of Trade Ensures That Companies That Reduce The Content Of Oil Has Been Closed
JAKARTA - Minister of Trade (Mendag) Budi Santoso said the imposition of sanctions for companies caught reducing the volume of Oilita continues. In fact, companies that have been proven to have committed this fraudulent practice have been closed.
"Companies that have (violated) committing violations have now been processed. Of course they will be subject to sanctions, and we have closed companies. Can't operate anymore. And we hope that the next new ones don't do the same thing," he said at the Ministry of Trade office, Jakarta, Wednesday, March 12.
Budi also said that the supervision of the government brand simple packaged cooking oil producer, Oilita, was carried out strictly.
Furthermore, Budi said the team from the Food Task Force (Satgas) and the Ministry of Trade also continue to monitor and check repackizers or repackers directly to the field.
"So, yes, oilita today, yes, today too, earlier to Bekasi and North Jakarta to carry out an examination. So the National Police Food Task Force together with the Ministry of Trade came to repacking-repacking, yes, to ensure that in the future there should not be any more Minita circulating that is not in accordance with the dose," he said.
Budi also reminded repackers to obey and not sell Oilita above the high retail price (HET).
"Ini kan mau Lebaran, kami minta para pelaku usaha untuk ikut instantas usaha, ya menjalankan kegiatan usaha sesuai kebetulan yang berlaku, menjual barang atau oilita sesuai HET dan ukurannya harus sesuai aturan yang berlaku," jelasnya.

Even so, Budi ensures that the supply of Oilita remains safe. This is because producers have committed to double production.
"Violations must be dealt with, but related to the supply, we continue to run, there are a lot of our supply, manufacturers have also promised to double it, then our distributors are not only one or two but dozens yes, there are a lot of our distributors," he said.
"Hopefully Lebaran will be affordable and if we look at the price, it's still relatively rising, but it doesn't spike, it tends to be the same as last weeks," he continued.
