Arriving In Jakarta, Jordi Cruyff Expressed The Right Criteria For The Directorate Of The Indonesian National Team
JAKARTA - Jordi Cruyff started his work as Technical Advisor for the Indonesian National Team after arriving in Jakarta, Tuesday. March 11, 2025.
He immediately revealed the right criteria for the person who will fill the position of Technical Director (Dirtek) of the Garuda Squad.
"I think you have to have experience with different countries, cultures and strategies. He (Dirtek) must be able to work with coaches in all age groups," said Jordi Cruyff during a press conference in Jakarta on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, afternoon WIB.
Not only that, according to Cruyff, a Director of Technology is also required to perform optimally for the football of a country and even the Indonesian National Team (Timnas).

"He has to help from day to day. He has to be able to formulate strategies and ways to achieve goals."
"He must have abroad experience so that he can adapt quickly to new places," said Jordi.
"The point is that we have to work together and have a new direction with the same goal," he continued.
Jordi Cruyff's suggestion regarding the figure of the Director of Technology is directly proportional to the existing situation. The reason is, the position of the Director of Research and Technology of the Indonesian National Team is currently vacant after being left by Indra Sjafri who had moved to handle the U-20 Indonesian national team.
Although currently the position of the Director of Technology is still being sought, the presence of Jordi Cruyff will be quite helpful. The problem is, after retiring as a player, he has a number of experience as a sporting director.
Jordi was once Director of AEK Larnaca Sports, then at Maccabi Tel Aviv. In 2021, he will become a strategic advisor at Barcelona who continues to be Director of Blaugrana Sports.
