Gemini Integration: Gmail Can Now Add Automatic Schedule To Calendar

JAKARTA - Google is again presenting an update to increase user productivity around the world, through Gemini artificial intelligence (AI).

In an announcement shared, Google said that Gmail users can now add events to Google Calendar directly from their emails without the need to copy or enter information manually.

Apart from asking Gemini in Gmail to take action related to your calendar or answering questions about your calendar, you can now add events to your calendar directly from your email, wrote Google.

With this new feature, Gemini will automatically detect content containing schedules or events in the email, and record it to Google Calendar.

If there is relevant information, Gmail will display the "Add to the calendar." After clicking on the button, the side panel in Gmail will be open to confirm that the event has been successfully added to Google Calendar.

This update is part of Google's efforts to integrate AI to help users manage their schedule more efficiently. Previously, Gemini in Gmail was able to.

This feature will come to users at the Google Workspace Business and Enterprise levels, as well as customers with Gemini Education, Gemini Education Premium, or Google One AI Premium packages.

In June 2024, Google has also added a new capability to Gmail on the web to help users write emails and summarize a series of emails.

In addition, this ability also allows users to ask questions and find certain information from emails in the inbox.
