YOGYAKARTA - Good news comes for online motorcycle taxi drivers (ojol), because they have the opportunity to accept the holiday allowance (THR). However, not all ojol drivers are entitled to THR. So, what are the criteria for ojol that gets THR?

Reporting from Antanews, Patrick Sugito Walujo, CEO of GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), revealed that he and the Minister of Manpower have been summoned by the President to discuss giving appreciation in the form of allowances to online motorcycle taxi drivers ahead of Eid Al-Fitr.

Patrick expressed his gratitude to online motorcycle taxi driver partners for their dedication and excellent service to the community.

As a form of appreciation, GoTo plans to give appreciation to drivers who are divided into two categories, namely those who show activeness and hard work, as well as those who achieve certain achievements.

Patrick said that the Government specifically asked them to pay more attention to outstanding drivers.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto had conveyed an appeal to transportation application companies to provide holiday allowances (THR) in the form of cash to their driver partners in Eid al-Fitr 2025.

The President emphasized the importance of the contribution of online drivers and couriers in supporting the transportation and logistics system in Indonesia.

In addition, President Prabowo Subianto said that this year, the government is paying special attention to online drivers and couriers who have made a significant contribution to transportation and logistics services in Indonesia.

Therefore, President Prabowo Subianto appealed to all application-based transportation service companies to provide holiday bonuses in the form of cash to couriers and online drivers, taking into account their level of activity.

The President also added that details regarding the number and mechanism for giving holiday bonuses will be regulated and announced by the Minister of Manpower through a circular.

Responding to the president's request, in order to welcome Eid al-Fitr, Gojek and Grab announced a bonus program for their driver partners.

Catherine Hindra Sutjahyo, President of Gojek, stated that Gojek will distribute financial assistance through the Hari Raya Tali Asih program for driver-partners who meet certain requirements.

Gojek drivers also had the opportunity to get assistance in the form of cash that would be received before Eid al-Fitr.

Gojek revealed that they wanted to provide real benefits so that driver-partners could undergo Ramadan and celebrate Eid al-Fitr more meaningfully.

Meanwhile, Grab Indonesia announced the awarding of holiday bonuses (BHR) through a special performance bonus program.

Anthony Tan, Grab's Group CEO & Co-Founder, stated that they are pleased to be able to contribute to initiatives that provide direct benefits to driver-partners, which are the backbone of transportation and delivery services in Indonesia.

Driver partners can earn additional income through bonus programs that require the achievement of certain targets. These targets include: the number of orders successfully completed, the success rate of order completion, the total online hours, and also the assessment from customers.
