Balikpapan City Government Gives Lembur Incentives For Waste Transporters During The Fasting Month
BALIKPAPAN - Balikpapan City Government, East Kalimantan Province, added overtime incentives for waste transport officers as appreciation for the increasing work in line with the increase in waste production during Ramadan fasting month.
"The city government will provide additional overtime incentives for waste transport officers during fasting," said Head of the Balikpapan City Environment Agency (DLH) Sudirman Djayaleksana in Balikpapan, quoted from Antara, Tuesday, March 11.
It is planned that the overtime incentive for the garbage transport officers will be Rp. 100,000 per day or an increase of Rp. 50,000 per day from usually only Rp. 50,000 per day.
"This addition is an appreciation for the work of garbage transport officers which has increased because waste production has increased during Ramadan," he explained.
It was recorded that along with the increase in activities of the people of Balikpapan City during the fasting month, waste production also increased by around 300-400 tons in one day.
Waste production during Ramadan in one day was recorded at 700-800 tons which resulted in the work of waste transport officers also increasing from only about 400 tons per day.
Traders at Ramadan Market and other fasting food and beverage traders (takjil), as well as the public are advised to comply with the waste disposal schedule in accordance with applicable regulations, which is between 18.00 and 06.00 WITA.
"Also be reminded, make sure the waste that will be thrown into the temporary disposal site (TPS) is neatly packaged so as not to be scattered," he said.
