Ahead Of All England 2025: Patience/Reza Ready To Make Debut
JAKARTA - The men's doubles pair Sabar Karyaman Gutama/Mohammad Reza Pahlevi Isfahani are ready to make their debut at All England 2025 with legend Hendra Setiawan who accompanies him as a coach.
The pair, who are ranked eighth in the world (as of March 11, 2025), have made long preparations for one month. During that period they had also been accompanied by the 2008 Beijing Olympic gold medalist.
"Certainly can't wait to compete. This is our first All England. So, hopefully we can get the best results and be able to relax into it," Sabar said in an official statement received.
Patience/Reza for about a year has been running without a coach. Therefore, they then decided to discuss with Hendra and the legend immediately agreed.

Hendra will next accompany Sabar/Reza at the Swiss Open 2025 next week. The Super 300 BWF level tournament will take place on 18-23 March 2025 at St. Jakobshalle.
"Hopefully, the presence of Koh Hendra as a newly retired legend can transmit aura and achievements to us, which also brings even more confidence," said Sabar.
Hendra Setiawan has just decided to retire from badminton earlier this year. He played the last tournament with his partner Mohammad Ahsan at the 2025 Indonesia Masters.
Hendra hopes that his presence will be able to bring Sabar/Reza to play optimally. He admitted that currently the couple already had careful preparation and were ready to compete.
"My hope is that they can be maximal in two European tournaments. The most important thing is from their mindset, now they are ranked eighth, they must be more confident. Don't be a burden," said Hendra.
All England 2025 will start on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, until Sunday, March 16, 2025. Indonesia has deployed a total of 11 representatives in the Super 1000 BWF level event.
Indonesia came with the status of defending champion in the men's singles and men's doubles sector through Jonatan Christie and Fajar Alfian/Muhammad Rian Ardianto.
