JAKARTA - The Supervisory Board of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) volume of the two ensures that their relationship with the leaders is now well established. Communication is smoothly different from the conditions in the previous period.

"Hopefully the performance of the supervisory board now is different from the previous supervisory board. But one thing that makes us all proud is that the current Supervisory Board and the KPK leadership are very intimate," said Sumpeno, member of the KPK Supervisory Board to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, quoted on Tuesday, March 11.

Sumpeno hopes that conditions like this can continue. "Because the information that came into one of the leaders, it turned out that when compared to the previous one, the past when you wanted to be invited to a meeting there was always a reason," he said.

"Between the leadership and the supervisory board, I don't know if there is a gap or what. What is clear is that the KPK Council Volume II ... hopefully it won't be like it used to be," continued Sumpeno.

He hopes that the synergy with the KPK leadership in the era of Setyo Budiyanto can be maintained. Thus, the application of integrity in anti-corruption institutions can be maximized.

Moreover, the Supervisory Board and the KPK leadership have actually discussed strategies to raise awareness about integrity. One of them is through periodic meetings which will be formulated further.

"We have collaborated between the supervisory board, the five with the leadership on how to instill integrity for all levels in the KPK. It was agreed when the KPK Council suggested that this periodic meeting be held outside the coordination meeting of the supervisory board or coordination meeting," concluded Sumpeno.
