Madinah Health Authority Launches Medical Scooter To Help Congregants At The Prophet's Mosque
JAKARTA - The health cluster in Medina, Saudi Arabia launched a service breakthrough to provide health support for pilgrims and Umrah pilgrims at the Prophet's Mosque.
The health service in question is an emergency scooter launched by the Medina Health Cluster, to allow paramedics to provide quick medical assistance during Ramadan 1446 Hijri or 2025, as quoted by Arab News from the Saudi Press Agency March 11.
With thousands of worshipers meeting the mosque grounds, moving among crowds can be a challenge for the medical team to provide emergency services and response.
The scooter will make it easier for them to "visit busy areas, handle urgent cases, and transfer patients to nearby hospitals and treatment centers if needed," according to the SPA.
As of last weekend, as many as nineteen-one people have benefited from this service since it was first launched.
All of them were referred to health facilities in the central area, including Al-Shifa Health Endowment, Haram Emergency Hospital to Safiyyah Emergency Care Center and Bab Jibril.
This new initiative "mirrends the efforts of the Medina Health Cluster on the safety and well-being of visitors," the SPA said.
It is known that the General Presidential Decree for the Affairs of the Two Holy Mosques launched a number of service initiatives to improve the comfort, security and safety of the congregation and Umrah pilgrims at the Grand Mosque, Makkah and the Prophet's Mosque in the month of Ramadan this year.
