Kia Seltos The Latest Generation Caught On Camera Again Road Test, What's The Striking Change?

JAKARTA - The competition in the compact SUV segment is often tight, Kia is preparing for a detailed change in the Kia Seltos model which is entering its second generation.

Quoting from the Rushlane page, Monday, March 10, Kia prepared the second generation of Seltos with the option of a hybrid engine. Not only that, many changes were also presented, especially from the exterior side.

Ahead of its launch later this year, Kia Seltos has just been spotted in a road test on his home market, South Korea. So what are the updates that can be seen?

The existing Kia Seltos is positioned as a sporty SUV with a tough character, a new generation model is expected to evolve into a more sophisticated version. At first glance, the test vehicle covered in thick camouflage shows a silhouette that looks familiar with the Kia Telluride medium size crossover SUV.

Some exterior features can also be inspired by Telluride like the new LED headlights and DRL LED. The new DRL LED has attracted everyone's attention with its unique and vertically stacked orientation.

Changes in side profiles will be relatively few. But if you look at it, this South Korean brand presents a new rim that makes it look more sporty.

Other features presented such as the conventional door handle, ORVM with integrated sein lights, and the roof rail look the same as the current model. Meanwhile, at the back, the new generation of Seltos is expected to get a fresher rear light with triangular-shaped elements. Similar arrangements can be seen in Kia EV5.

The latest generation Kia Seltos is embedded with a hybrid powertrain which is expected to get a new gasoline hybrid powertrain. This arrangement will likely include a 1.6 liter gasoline unit that works in combination with an electric motor mounted on the rear axle.
