KPK Initial Session Deploys 12 Prosecutors, Hasto Kubu: No Problem, Quality Is Not A Quantity

The PDI-P Secretary General, Hasto Kristiyanto, has no problem with the steps taken by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) which appointed 12 prosecutors to face the first trial of the alleged interim bribery case (PAW) for members of the DPR and the obstruction of investigation.

The inaugural trial of the case is known to take place at the Corruption Court at the Central Jakarta District Court, Friday, March 14.

"It doesn't matter, it doesn't matter if you prepare how many public prosecutors," said Hasto Kristiyanto's attorney, Ronny Talapessy, to reporters, Monday, March 10.

According to him, the number of public prosecutors is not important. However, the process of proof and facts is the most important thing in the judiciary.

"What we are testing is facts, so what colleagues need to convey is also for colleagues that it is important that we also love the principle of presumption of innocence," he said.

In addition, it was also conveyed that he would not see the quantity of how many prosecutors the KPK had prepared. Because quality remains the main thing.

"The second is also important, we also look at the case from its quality, not quantity. The quality is talking about evidence, witnesses and others, so if we are from the legal team, we are ready to face it," said Ronny.
