New York Sets Emergency Status Due To Forest Fire On Long Island
JAKARTA - The governor of New York state, Kathy Hochul, has declared an emergency status in Suflokk County due to a forest fire that hit Long Island.
The fire that occurred since Saturday afternoon caused a number of roads to be closed and had a significant impact on the local community.

More than 30 firefighters have been deployed to control the blaze. In addition, four helicopters belonging to the New York National Guard were also deployed to speed up the extinguishing process.
