Ngurah Rai Airport Returns To Normal Operations After Airfast Aircraft Obstacles
BADUNG The management of I Gusti Ngurah Rai International Airport ensured that flight operations had returned to normal. Previously, the airport was disrupted due to technical problems on the Airfast plane with registration number DH PK OAM 6 from Benete, West Sumbawa, Saturday, March 8.
General Manager of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport, Ahmad Syaugi Shahab, explained that the plane experienced problems at 10.15 WITA, which caused the runway to not be used for a while.
"The handling has been completed according to procedures by moving the small plane using lifting bags or salvage equipment," said Syaugi, quoted from Antara.
The aircraft evacuation process is carried out based on NOTAM Number A0668/25 NOTAMN, which regulates the closure of the runway from 10.15 WITA to 12.10 WITA. After that, a search was carried out to ensure that no foreign objects were left on the runway, before finally reopening it at 13.06 WITA.
Dozens Of Affected Flights
During the three hours of runway closure, at least 10 departure flights and 21 arrivals were disrupted. However, after the Airfast plane was successfully evacuated, the flight returned to normal.

The first plane to land after the runway reopened was Singapore Airlines SQ938 from Singapore, which arrived at 13:10 WITA, experiencing delays from its scheduled schedule at 11.50 WITA.
Meanwhile, the first plane to depart after this incident was India's Aero to Delhi, which flew at 13.23 WITA, from the schedule of 10.35 WITA.
"All operations of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport have gradually returned to normal, previously delayed flights have started operating again with a rescheduling average of 2 to 3.5 hours from the initial schedule," added Syaugi.
