Communication With PPATK, KPK Chairman Claims To Get A Lot Of Information

JAKARTA - Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Setyo Budiyanto revealed that there was communication with the Head of the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Center (PPATK) Ivan Yustiavandana. A number of information is also in his hands to be followed up.

"I have communicated with the Head of PPATK, the Head of PPATK also gave me a lot of new information," Setyo told reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Friday, March 7.

Setyo ensured that every information that entered his institution would be reviewed.

"Together with the team for sure," he said.

This study will later determine the follow-up that will be taken by the KPK. This kind of method, continued Setyo, is not something new.

Because, there have been several corruption cases that started with the results of the PPATK analysis. "Some of it (cases, ed) are already running," he said.

"But with the information and developments handled by other law enforcement officers, it was information that had been from PPATK for a long time and directly the Head of PPATK told me directly. It became input for me to determine further steps," concluded the former Inspector General (Irjen) of the Ministry of Agriculture (Kementan).
