JAKARTA - Former DPD RI staff, M. Fitrat Irfan returned to visit the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta today, Friday, March 7. He handed over 95 names suspected of being involved in bribery during the 2024-2029 DPD RI leadership election.
"I visited the KPK RI building again to complete the data on 95 people suspected of being involved in an election for the leadership of the DPD RI and the Deputy Chairperson of the MPR RI, especially the DPD," Fitrat told reporters at the location.
"The names who are suspected of being involved, allegedly flowing to them, I have submitted them to the Dumas KPK section," he continued.
Fitrat also admitted that he submitted the name of the party suspected of being the giver. "The person concerned is from the chairman, the vice chairman is the same deputy chairman of the MPR," he said.
The Deputy Chairperson of the MPR RI from the DPD element for the 2024-2029 period is Abcandra Muhammad Akbar Supratman. He is the son of the Indonesian Minister of Law (Menkum) Supratman Andi Agtas.
As a reporter for alleged corruption, Fitrat hopes that the anti-corruption commission will immediately follow up. Moreover, he has submitted a number of evidences.
"There is the same conversation from the group concerned, which relates to the names of 95 people. There are names of people who are indicated as recipients of the flow of bribe funds," he said.
Then, he also conveyed a number of statements from other parties suspected of being involved. "Because there are several people from outside, who are not staff from the DPD RI members, yes, you could say that they are external, there are also officials involved," explained Fitrat.
Previously reported, the KPK has received reports of alleged bribery related to the process of selecting the leadership of the Regional Representative Council (DPD) RI for the period 2024-2029. KPK chairman Setyo Budiyanto said verification was being carried out by the Directorate of Public Reports and Complaints Service (PLPM).
"The DPD is currently being verified and validated by the PLPM Team. It is hoped that the process can be determined whether it is the authority of the KPK," Setyo told reporters, Friday, February 21.
Setyo said the results of the verification would later be submitted to the head of the anti-corruption commission. In this process, it will also be seen whether it is related to state officials.
