Support Transmigration Transformation, Komdigi Prepares Digital Infrastructure And Literacy
JAKARTA - Minister of Communication and Digital Meutya Hafid expressed his support for the transformation of the transmigration program launched by the Ministry of Transmigration (Kementrans).
This support will include the development of telecommunications infrastructure, the application of the Digital Village concept, and increasing digital literacy for transmigrant communities.
Meutya emphasized that digitalization is the key to improving the welfare of people in transmigration areas. Thus, he hopes that the transmigration area can develop into a competitive digital-based economic center.
"Kemkomdigi is ready to support transmigration transformation through digitalization. We want to ensure that communication technology and infrastructure can be utilized optimally to improve the welfare of transmigrant communities," he explained.
As concrete support, the Ministry of Communication and Trade will help disseminate information about the transformation of transmigration programs through various mass media platforms and national television.
According to him, the media has an important role in accelerating the spread of information by the public, so that in the end people will be able to understand the benefits.

In addition, Komdigi also encourages the development of Digital Villages as part of the Smart Village ecosystem, which is expected to be able to increase access to information and digital-based business opportunities for people in transmigration areas.
In terms of infrastructure, Komdigi will ensure the availability of adequate communication networks in the transmigration area. Meanwhile, in terms of literacy, Komdigi will provide a digital entrepreneurship program for transmigrant communities, especially women.
