Honda S7 EV Launches In China, Has A Reach Of More Than 600 Km

JAKARTA - Honda officially launched its newest electric car in China with a joint venture with Dongfeng. The model that launched is the Honda S7, an electric crossover with an extraordinary range.

Quoting from the Carnewschina page, Friday, March 7, this electric car was originally introduced in China under the Ye brand that was formed last year, but the Japanese car manufacturer withdrew from the Ye brand, and is now present with the S7.

The presence of this electric car aims to increase the sales volume of the Japanese brand in China. So what are the specifications?

In design, the Honda S7 adopts the brand's new design language. Seen in the front fascia section, there is a large Y-shaped light combined with a thin LED strip. This car is also equipped with a large air stake on the bumper, and has a sleek roof line making it look stylish.

The Honda S7 has a length dimension of 4,750 mm, a width of 1,930 mm, a height of 1,625 mm with a wheelbase of 2,930 mm. This manufacturer with the H logo embeds a 19-inch rim for the standard model and the highest variant has a size of 21 inches, which makes it look modern.

Entering the cabin, the Honda S7 comes with a large screen 24 inches of portrait and cluster of 9.9 inches of LCD instrument. There is also a head up augmented reality 41.9 inches screen. This car is equipped with a manned seat and steering wheel. The Honda S7 comes with eight speakers as standard. This car with a top trim level offers 16 Bose branded speakers. This crossover also adopts a Honda Sensing driving assistance system.

In detail, the rear-wheeled Honda S7 adopts a single electric motor in the rear-wheeled asas with a peak power of 268 hp and 420 Nm torque. This electric motor is powered by a linear NMC battery pack with a capacity of 89.8 kWh which offers a distance of 650 km in CLTC counts.

Meanwhile, the 4WD Honda S7 variant adopted two electric motors with a peak power of 469 hp and a torque of 770 Nm. That way, this car can accelerate 0-100 km/hour in just 4.6 seconds.

Talking about the price, the Honda S7 electric car is priced from 259,900 to 309,900 yuan or around Rp586-698 million. Interested in this model if Honda brings it to Indonesia?
