Garuda And Citilink Kasih Discount Airline Ticket Prices Up To 19 Percent In Lebaran 2025

JAKARTA - Garuda Indonesia Group will lower the ticket price by 14 to 19 percent during the Lebaran 2025 homecoming period.

This policy applies to Garuda Indonesia and its subsidiary, Citilink Indonesia.

Director of Commerce Garuda Indonesia Ade R Susardi explained that the policy of decreasing ticket prices is in line with President Prabowo Subianto's instructions with the aim of supporting the ease of community mobility during the Eid homecoming period.

Ade said the ticket price reduction was valid for the purchase period from March 1 to April 7, 2025, with the travel period from March 24 to April 7, 2025.

"In accordance with the government's program implemented with the support of all stakeholders. The ticket reduction starts at 14 percent at least, maybe we can reach 18 to 19 percent as well for certain routes," he said at a press conference, at the Ministry of SOEs Office, Jakarta, Thursday, March 6.

Furthermore, Ade said the decrease in ticket prices came from reducing fuel surcharge, Aircraft Passenger Services (PJP2U) and Aircraft Placement and Storage Services (PJP4U) to providing Value Added Tax (VAT) incentives from the Government at 6 percent.

With this ticket discount, continued Ade, the ticket price for Garuda Indonesia will be much cheaper. For example, the purpose of Medan, which was previously Rp. 2.3 million, will decrease to Rp. 2 million.

Then, Jakarta to Balikpapan became IDR 1.8 million from the previous IDR 2.1 million, and the Jakarta route to Jayapura became IDR 5 million from the previous IDR 5.8 million.

Then, Jakarta's route to Denpasar became Rp1.6 million from the previous Rp1.9 million. Jakarta's route to Yogyakarta was Rp997,000 from the previous Rp1.2 million.

"So, please buy it, while the price is good, just don't forget the flight period, from March 24 to April 7," he said.

Not only the decrease in ticket prices, Ade said Garuda Indonesia also presented a special promo, namely Garuda Indonesia with a 'Lebaran in Jakarta' and Citilink campaign with the 'Homecoming First' campaign.

"If you buy a ticket on the date before Lebaran to Jakarta, it's better to price it. Well, in Citilink the term is 'Homecoming first', so you can get a ticket price discount, there is a discount, (starting from) IDR 400,000," said Ade.
