South Cross Road Lot 2: Bululawang - Sidomulyo - Tambakrejo By PTPP Exceeds Target

JAKARTA - The construction of the South Cross Road Lot 2: Bululawang - Sidomulyo - Tambakrejo, a strategic project undertaken by PTPP aims to increase accessibility and support the development of tourism potential along the South Coastline of Blitar Regency, continuing to show encouraging developments.

With a contract value of Rp. 410.6 billion, this project has exceeded the target realization with progress of 69.860 percent, far above the original plan of 31.545 percent. This project was carried out by the Joint Operation between PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT), and PT Sarana Multi Usaha, with an implementation period from December 20, 2023 to October 4, 2026.

The construction of the South Cross Road is expected to provide significant benefits for the community, including one of which this project will strengthen connectivity along the southern route of Java Island. Not only that, this project also supports tourism potential along 12,885 km south coast of Blitar Regency.

The development of the South Cross Road is the driving force for equitable infrastructure development for the growth of the local economy and poverty alleviation, of course in line with the Asta Cita Government program, which is to accelerate the development of modern, integrated and sustainable infrastructure and transportation.

There is something interesting about this project, especially regarding technological innovation for efficiency and safety. Therefore, the work of this project applies cutting-edge technology and innovation in the field. One of them is the use of Load Scanner to minimize waste material in the aggregate foundation layer.

Another innovation is the application of LIDAR Scanner and Building Information Modeling (BIM) technology to calculate the volume of excavation and pile-up work more accurately. For safety, the project runs a Safety Net Portable as a protection system at high cliff locations, in order to prevent the risk of landslides of rock material. One of the advantages of this project is the implementation of flexible hardware designs on the shoulder of the road, which maximizes the lane function on the national road. This design increases the utility and comfort of road users.

PTPP's Corporate Secretary, Joko Raharjo, stated that his party is proud to be able to contribute to the construction of this strategic Southern Cross Road.

"The application of the latest technology and solid teamwork has enabled the acceleration of development while maintaining high standard quality and work safety. This project is a tangible manifestation of our commitment to supporting sustainable national infrastructure development," he said in a written statement, Thursday, March 6.

Local residents also welcomed this development positively. The reason is, with this road, access to the beach becomes easier.

"We hope that more and more tourists will come, so that our economy will also be lifted. Now, transporting produce to the city is also much faster," said a resident in Tambakrejo Village.

Another resident also expressed the same thing. According to these residents, the road in this project used to be narrow and difficult to pass, especially during the rainy season.

"With this new road, my shop is more crowded with visitors, and turnover is increasing," said the local resident with a smile.
