Makassar Polrestabes Detains Three Suspected Police Archers
Makassar Police detained three police officers with the initials Bripda MR (21) and one civilian on March 1 on Jalan Sungai Saddang, Makassar, South Sulawesi.
"There are already three people (arrested). The perpetrators fled to Gowa Regency, we arrested them there. They have been detained now", said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of Makassar Police, AKBP Devi Sujana, quoted by ANTARA, Wednesday, March 5.
Of the three perpetrators, one person is still a minor and two other people are adults, each with the initials MFD (17), MTR (18), and MR (20). The perpetrators were arrested on Sunday (2/3).
The perpetrators are known to be residents of Makassar City who live in the Makassar District area. It is suspected that they were part of a motorcycle gang and after carrying out the action they fled to Gowa.
However, after being interrogated, they admitted that they were not part of the motorcycle gang and said there were other perpetrators who carried out the victim's investigation, at that time there were 11 of their entourage.
From that incident, two people became victims, namely one Police personnel and another civilian. After being arrested, a number of evidences were secured in the form of a catapult and arrows.
"The results of the investigation, they said they were not motorcycle gangs, the three of them were detained. And the other perpetrators are still being chased. We already know their identities," he explained.
The three perpetrators often participated in convoys of vehicles on Sunday nights and holidays, considering that yesterday's incident occurred after dawn at around 04.30 WITA.
The incident began when the group of motorbikes ran into other motorcycle groups, but there were no direct clashes. The perpetrators were allegedly offended by pulling their motorbike gas at each other.
Because they did not accept it, these groups of perpetrators turned around and chased the few victims into the hallway. That's where the two victims were in the arrows, one of whom was the police who did not know about the incident.
