Know Since A Teenager, IU Is Comfortable To Work With Park Bo Gum In A New Drama

JAKARTA - IU and Park Bo Gum are paired in the latest drama, When Life Gives You Tangerines. This drama is Kim Won Suk's latest work which will air soon.

This drama is also the first time for IU and Park Bo Gum to compete in acting, previously they were only met in various events for brands.

"This is my second project with Kim Won Suk and I am also a fan of writer Im Sang Choon. Before reading the script, I was already interested in joining the project," IU said at a drama press conference on Wednesday, March 5.

"I thought 'I should be part of it!' so when I read the script, I immediately agreed," the story.

Furthermore, IU explained that he felt more comfortable when working with Park Bo Gum considering that they had known him since they were teenagers.

"To be honest we've known each other since we were teenagers and this is the first time we've worked together. Surprisingly, I'm not nervous and I feel comfortable as if we've been neighbors for a long time like (character) Ae Sun and Gwang Sik," explained IU.

"Sometimes I ask his opinion and filming with him is very fun," he continued.

Park Bo Gum added, "I was touched because we worked together on advertisements when we were young and now we have 30s and work as actors. We don't always easily make friends with people our age and he (IU) works well as Ae Sun."

"If we can work together again, it's interesting," continued Bo Gum.

Talking about the drama, IU did the filming together with the world tour he was doing last year. IU hopes that this drama can meet public expectations.

"Production of this drama took a long time and I am very enthusiastic about the release of this drama after we hid it because we didn't talk about it," said IU.

When Life Gives You Tangerines tells the story of Ae Sun (IU) and Gwan Sik (Park Bo Gum) who navigate their relationship on Jeju Island. When Life Gives You Tangerines is also played by Park Hae Joon and Moon So Ri and airs starting March 7 and can be watched on Netflix.
