Motif Pelaku Yang Aniaya Teman Baiknya Hingga Die Di Home Stay Palu Karena Tersengung

PALU - Palu City Police (Polresta) managed to secure two suspected perpetrators of the persecution that led to the murder that occurred in one of the homestays.

Palu Police Chief Kombes Deny Abrahams said the two perpetrators had the initials MR (19) and IB (24). Both were arrested within 1x24 hours after the case was discovered.

"They were arrested in the Pantoloan area at 19.00 WITA, after previously running away after committing acts of violence against the victim," said Deny when releasing the case at the Palu Police Headquarters, Antara, Wednesday, March 5.

Based on the results of the initial examination, the incident that occurred on Saturday, March 1 at around 06.30 WITA was triggered by MR's offense against the victim.

When the incident occurred, MR was in the room with his friend, then the victim came and asked MR to leave the room.

"Feeling offended, MR then left the room and met his colleague IB. MR then took a machete and returned to the home stay to persecute the victim," explained Deny.

He stated that from the initial examination, the two suspected perpetrators were subject to Article 355 paragraph 2 and Article 56 of the Criminal Code. "Even though IB did not carry out direct persecution because he was outside the room, IB also fled with MR after the incident," said the Chief of Police.

Currently, investigators are still investigating the possible involvement of more than two perpetrators, as well as other motives behind the incident, including possible elements of romance in this case.

"It is known that the victim and the perpetrators have a close friendship," he said.

In handling cases, the police will also conduct urine tests on the two perpetrators to find out if there are indications of drug abuse in this case.

"Investigations are still continuing to uncover the incident," Deny said.
