KPK Asks South Jakarta District Court To Postpone Hasto's Pretrial Session Today

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has asked the South Jakarta District Court (PN) to postpone two pretrial hearings of PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto today, Monday, March 3. The legal bureau team still needs time to prepare the materials needed.

It is known that Hasto's camp again filed two separate pretrial lawsuits after losing against the KPK some time ago. This step was taken because he did not accept being named a suspect in the alleged bribery in the management of the interim replacement (PAW) for members of the Indonesian House of Representatives and the obstruction to the investigation of the Harun Masiku case.

"The KPK has asked the judge to postpone the pretrial hearing of the suspect HK because it is still coordinating and preparing materials," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardhika to reporters in her statement, Monday, March 3.

The Case Investigation Information System (SIPP) of the South Jakarta District Court said the first trial of Hasto's pretrial was held at 09.00 WIB. Cases registered with number 23/Pid.Pra/2025/PN JKT.SEL will be held in courtroom 01.

Meanwhile, cases with 24/Pid.Pra/2025/PN JKT.SEL will be held in courtroom 06.

Previously reported, the KPK developed an interim replacement bribery (PAW) case that ensnared former KPU commissioner Wahyu Setiawan and his fugitive, Harun Masiku. Two people were later named as suspects, namely PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto and Donny Tri Istiqomah who are PDIP cadres as well as lawyers.

Hasto is also a suspect in the obstruction of the investigation. He is suspected of trying to obstruct the legal process, one of which is by asking Harun to damage his cellphone and run away after the arrest operation (OTT) was carried out.

Now, Hasto has been detained for the first 20 days at the KPK detention center since last Thursday, February 20. This forced effort can be extended according to the needs of investigators.

Meanwhile, Donny Tri Istiqomah has not been arrested. However, investigators have examined him on February 3.
