Sritex Employees Start Filling Out LAYOFFS Due To Bankrupt Decision

JAKARTA - Employees of PT Sri Rejeki Isman Tbk or Sritex have begun to fill out a letter of termination of employment (PHK) as a result of the bankruptcy decision issued by the Semarang Commercial Court.

"That was partly filled out. If you have a letter from the police station, there is a letter," said the head of the All-Indonesian Workers Union (SPSI) of PT Sritex Widada in Sukoharjo, Central Java, Wednesday, February 25.

In addition to filling out layoffs, the employees complete the requirements to be able to disburse old age guarantees (JHT).

"So JHT must be disbursed immediately," he said.

Regarding the office's obligation to pay employees, Widada hopes that this month it will be carried out on time.

"Usually it's delayed, yesterday it was delayed by eight days. The salaries are delayed in February, but they continue to be paid. It is hoped that next month's salary will not be too late again. Employees delay their salaries, it makes it difficult for them to pay debts, installments," he said.

Widada said the number of workers and employees of Sritex was 6,660 people. Filling out the layoff letter to take care of guarantees for job loss.

"The employees have received a letter of layoffs to look for guarantees of loss of work, severance pay must also be recorded. But this is not finished yet," he said.
