Sealion 7 Domination Of SPK BYD With 50 Percent Orders During Debut At IIMS 2025

JAKARTA - PT BYD Motor Indonesia has officially launched a new model of Sealion 7 for the Indonesian market through the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025.

This car illustrates the manufacturer's commitment to presenting cutting-edge technology vehicles and various other advanced innovations.

The crossover is priced starting from IDR 629 million for Premium type and IDR 719 million for the Performance variant.

Officially debuted in the Indonesian market, how will this model receive in the last two weeks?

Head of Public Relations & Government Relations of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, Luther T. Panjaitan said the receipt of this car was quite good, even contributing 50 percent of the total Vehicle Ordering Letter (SPK) at IIMS 2025.

"We calculate as much as 50 percent (SPK Sealion 7) of the number of BYD sales at IIMS 2025 and we are quite satisfied with that," said Luther when met by the media at the Media Test Drive Sealion 7 in Bandung, West Java, Wednesday, February 26.

Luther also claimed that SPK Sealion 7 was dominated by the Premium variant over Performance or inversely proportional to its sedan brother, Seal.

"So it's a bit different from before, usually Performance is more. Now, it's the Premium that dominates," said Luther.

Unfortunately, he has not disclosed the exact number of BYD's achievements at IIMS 2025. However, Luther made sure the score during the exhibition was positive.

"We are currently calculating and planning to release it this week. But as before, BYD at the exhibition was quite positive," concluded Luther.
