Holds Job Fair, Rano Karno Promises To Open 500 Thousand Jobs
JAKARTA - Deputy Governor of DKI Jakarta Rano Karno opened the first job fair during his reign with the Governor of DKI Pramono Anung. This job fair was carried out with a target of 2,500 job seekers, 1,900 jobs, and was attended by 37 companies.
Rano said, this job fair will be the beginning of the opening of employment opportunities as promised during the 2024 Pilkada campaign.
"Jakarta now still needs jobs. The DKI Provincial Government will create 500 thousand jobs," said Rano in Tamini Square, East Jakarta, Wednesday, February 26.
In a promise that was made during the campaign, Pramono-Rano will open a sub-district-level job fair once every three months. However, it turns out that the DKI Jakarta Manpower, Transmigration and Energy Service (TKTE) can hold once a month.
Rano sees that the labor market really needs labor. For this reason, the DKI Provincial Government will make it easier for job seekers by bringing the work market closer to Jakarta residents.
So far, job fair has been carried out every six months and the place is far away, such as at SMESCO. Just going there requires a lot of money. I want to cut it. We made a job fair in the sub-districts because the industrial area is around it," he explained.

Head of the DKI Jakarta TKTE Service, Hari Nugroho, explained that the DKI Provincial Government implemented a new strategy in holding a job fair in the Pramono-Rano era.
Different from before, this time the work market will be held more massively with a cluster system. Of the total 44 sub-districts in DKI Jakarta, the government will combine several sub-districts into one cluster to hold a large-scale job fair.
"Every month, the plan is to hold 2-3 job fairs in five administrative cities," said Hari.
