Viral Subordinates Allegedly Extortion, Jambi Police Check A Number Of Personnel
JAKARTA - The Jambi Regional Police (Polda) examined a number of personnel following the viral video showing allegations of illegal levies by the police in Tanjung Jabung Barat (TJB).
Ps. Paur Penum Subbid Penmas for Public Relations of the Jambi Police Inspector Dua Maulana said that currently the case of alleged illegal levies (extortion) has been handled by the Jambi Police Profession and Security Division (Propam) for examination.
"Until now, several police officers are being investigated regarding the alleged extortion case," he said in Jambi, Wednesday, February 26, which was confiscated by Antara.
Maulana said, if it is proven that there has been a violation or extortion by personnel in the Jambi Regional Police, law enforcement will be carried out through a code of ethics trial.
"Basically, processing letters in the police is free or free of charge. We urge the public if they want to take care of travel documents to complete the required documents and avoid brokers who offer to take care of letters quickly and easily," he said.
