Bahlil Inaugurates 3 SKK Migas Officials

JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia, inaugurated a Leadership Officer within the Special Task Force for Upstream Oil and Gas Business Activities (SKK Migas) at the Chairul Saleh Building, the Secretariat General Office of the Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources.

The three officials who were inaugurated were Taufan Marhaendrajana who replaced Wahju Wibowo as Deputy Exploitation, Eka Bhayu Setha who replaced Rudi Satwiko as Deputy for Business Support and Rikky Rahmat Firdaus who was appointed Deputy for Exploration, Development, and Management of the Working Area.

"This is part of the consolidation of institutions at the SKK Migas level in the context of accelerating equipment in realizing energy self-sufficiency programs, especially energy security," Bahlil said in his remarks, Wednesday, February 26.

To the three newly appointed officials, Bahlil emphasized the main task of increasing the lifting of Indonesian oil, which continues to decline from day to day.

"This disease. Until I asked whether the Indonesians would be able to increase this lifting," continued Bahlil.

Based on the data he has, Bahlil said he knows that Indonesia does have large oil reserves but does not know how to increase lifting.

"Just talking about the concept, it's not finished. Even if the chicken grows teeth like this, it's still difficult for our country to increase production," he added.

For this reason, Bahlil emphasized the need for rotation in SKK Migas by appointing the three new officials.

"I consider the three of you to be experts, so I really ask for help," said Bahlil.
