As previously reported, PDIP General Chair Megawati Soekarnoputri issued instructions for regional heads and deputy regional heads from her party not to go to attend the retreat in Magelang, Central Java. They were asked to postpone and wait for further directions.

This order was conveyed by Megawati through letter numbered 7294/IN/DPP/II/2025 issued today, Thursday, February 20 or after PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto was detained by the KPK.

"It was instructed to all regional heads and deputy regional heads of the PDI-P as follows: regional heads and deputy regional heads to postpone travel that will take part in the retret in Magelang on February 21-28," Megawati wrote in a letter obtained from a source on Thursday evening, February 21.
