North Maluku Police Chief Asks Propam To Investigate Chat Mesra Talibu Deputy Chief Of Police With DPRD Members
TERNATE - North Maluku Police Chief (Malut) Inspector General Midi Siswoko asked Propam to investigate the alleged affair of the Deputy Chief of the Taliabu Island Police, Kompol S, with a member of the North Maluku DPRD with the initials AYM.
"Regarding the alleged intimate chat of members of the North Maluku DPRD, I have ordered the North Maluku Police Propam Bid to investigate this and we will take firm action against all violations," said North Maluku Police Chief Inspector General Midi Siswoko as reported by ANTARA, Tuesday, February 25.
The Regional Police Chief emphasized that the Deputy Chief of the Taliabu Island Police would be examined. If the results of the examination show that the Wakapoolres have been proven to have committed a violation, they will be dealt with in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
"If you fire and don't fire it from the results of the trial, the Kapolda cannot intervene in the trial. It all depends on the results of the fact finding by the trial apparatus," said the Kapolda.
The alleged affair between the Deputy Chief of the Taliabu Island Police, Kompol S and members of the North Maluku AYM DPRD emerged after the private conversation between the two spread on social media.
The conversation, which allegedly contained intimate chats such as the husband and wife, was first uploaded by DA, who is the biological child of Kompol S, through his personal Facebook and Instagram accounts.
The upload sparked a broad reaction from netizens who filled the comments column with support and pressure so that this case was thoroughly investigated.
Allegations of illicit relations between Kompol S and AYM are said to have taken place since Kompol S served as Deputy Chief of the Taliabu Island Police at the end of September 2023.
In addition to expressing his disappointment on social media, DA also sent an open letter to the general chairman of the party where AYM belongs.
In the letter, he urged AYM to be removed from party membership, given that the action was deemed inappropriate by a public official.

Meanwhile, when confirmed, AYM denied all allegations by the son of the Deputy Chief of Police of Taliabu Island, with the initials DA, which went viral on social media.
According to him, there is no special relationship between him and the Deputy Chief of Police of Taliabu Island and will process the children of the Deputy Chief of Police of Taliabu Island in accordance with applicable legal provisions.
