13 People Killed In Clashes Between Ethiopian And Kenyan Fishermen, 22 Missing
Clashes between Ethiopian fishermen and Kenya on the border left about 22 Kenyans missing and 13 dead in Ethiopia.
The fighting took place on Saturday night in Lopeimukat and Natira near the Omo River along the Kenya-Obviously border, the governor of the Turkana region of Kenya, Jeremiah Lomorukai said.
Reported by Reuters on Monday, February 24, about 22 Kenyan fishermen have not been found, and 15 boats have been stolen.
Meanwhile, six ethnic Dasenech fishermen from Ethiopia have been rescued and returned to their country.

On the Ethiopian side, a total of 13 people were killed and three others injured in the clashes, Tadele Hatte, chief administrator of Dasenech district.
Kenyan Interior Minister Kipchumba Murkomen said the government was deploying additional security at the border.
Kipchumba asserted that he was involved with Addis Ababa to "mediate peace between the two communities".
