Government Prepares Free Homecoming Facilities For 100,000 People

JAKARTA - Deputy Minister of Politics, Law and Security (Wamenko Polkam) Lodewijk F Paulus said the government provides free homecoming quotas for 100,000 residents.

"The quota is prepared for 100,000 residents," said Lodewijk when met at the office of the Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal and Security Affairs, Central Jakarta, Monday, February 24, as reported by ANTARA.

The free homecoming program is provided by the government through State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

Later, several SOEs will prepare several fleets from land, sea, and air to facilitate travelers.

The free homecoming fleet is prepared to deliver to several areas, such as Java and Sumatra.

Not only SOEs, several ministries and institutions will also collaborate to hold free homecoming.

They, continued Lodewijk, will cooperate with the TNI which has a more complete transportation fleet for homecoming needs.

"Including free motorbike transportation, there is. It is still being carried out by the government," he explained.

The government also ensures that the homecoming fleet used in the free homecoming program is suitable for use to ensure public safety.

Lodewijk did not explain in detail the technicality of the free homecoming registration. He only explained that the registration procedure will later be explained by the relevant ministries and institutions.
