Good News! Sri Mulyani Allocated Holiday Allowance 2021 IDR 45.4 Trillion, Central IDR 30.6 Trillion, Regional IDR 14.8 Trillion

JAKARTA - Finance Minister Sri Mulyani said that the government has allocated a budget of IDR 45.4 trillion for the payment of the 2021 Holiday Allowance (THR) for all State Civil Servants (ASN), as well as the TNI and Police.

Of this amount, IDR 30.6 trillion of which is allocated to central government agencies. Meanwhile, another IDR 14.8 trillion was distributed to government officials in the regions.

"The value of IDR 45.4 trillion compared to the actual expenditure up to this month which amounted to IDR 350 trillion is enormous", she said in a virtual press conference for our APBN (State Budget), Thursday, April 22.

Therefore, the Minister of Finance believes that the provision of THR for ASN, TNI, and the Police this time is projected to have a beneficial effect in encouraging economic activity, especially from the consumption side.

"(THR) definitely has a positive effect", she said.

As for the payment plan, THR will start to be distributed on D-10 to D-5 before the Eid Al-Fitr.

"Approximately disbursed in the last week of April 2021 or early May 2021", she said.

The Minister of Finance also revealed that more detailed information would be provided after the standard regulations had been released by the government.

"Currently the Government Regulation is being prepared and is in a joint initial process to then be signed by the President", she explained.

For information, in the 2020 period, the government has issued a THR budget of IDR 29.3 trillion. This number consists of central civil servants, the National Police, and the TNI of IDR 6.7 trillion, retirees of IDR 8.7 trillion, and civil servants in the regions of IDR 13.8 trillion.

This value is classified as low because several high-ranking officials have to give up holiday allowances because they are not included in the scheme prepared by the Minister of Finance.

Some of them are the president, vice president, members of the DPR (House of Representatives), and other state officials, as well as officials at echelon 1 and 2 levels.
