Pajero Enters A 35 Meter Deep Gorge In Solok, 3 People Injured

SOLOK - Single accident resulted in one car entering a 35 meter deep ravine on the Solok Padang highway, precisely in Jorong Linjuang Koto Tinggi, Nagari Koto Gaek Guguak, Solok, West Sumatra.

"The traffic accident occurred on the Solok Padang highway, precisely in Jorong Linjuang Koto Tinggi, Nagari Koto Gaek Guguak, Gunung Talang District, Solok Regency," said Head of Solok Police Traffic Unit, Iptu Rido, quoted by ANTARA, Monday, February 24.

He said this single accident involved the Mitsubishi Pajero Sport car number B 777 GRD.

"This car had a single accident and fell into a ravine as deep as 35 meters," he said.

The chronology of the accident started when driver A (31) drove from the direction of Padang City to Solok at high speed.

"Then the car lost control and went wide to the shoulder of the road before finally falling into a ravine as far as 35 meters," he said.

According to him, this happened due to a slippery road after the rain and downhill and winding roads so that the car experienced a slip.

"As a result, three passengers were injured and all of the victims were taken to the Arosuka Regional General Hospital for further treatment," he said.

Meanwhile, officers who had been at the TKP secured the vehicle involved in the accident for further investigation.

"Losses due to this accident reached Rp150 million. We have secured the vehicles involved," he said.
