Garut Regency Government Forms Supervisory Team To Ensure Safe Subsidized LPG Supply Ahead Of Ramadan
GARUT 'Government of Garut Regency, West Java, took serious steps in ensuring the supply of subsidized 3 kg LPG remains safe and available according to community needs ahead of the holy month of Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr. For this reason, the Garut Regency Government has formed a supervisory team that will be tasked with overseeing the distribution of subsidized LPG so that it is right on target and does not experience problems in the market.
Acting Regional Assistant II for the Economy and Development of the Garut Regency Government, Dedi Mulyadi, emphasized that the local government is committed to maintaining the availability of subsidized LPG to support the smooth fasting of the community. According to him, this step was taken as part of preparation for the surge in demand that usually occurs before and during Ramadan to Eid al-Fitr.
"The Garut Regency Regional Government wants to ensure that the subsidized 3 kg LPG gas supply for the community is quite available in the face of fasting until Eid al-Fitr," said Dedi Mulyadi in Garut, Saturday, February 22.
In order to maintain supply stability, the Garut Regency Government has held coordination meetings with various related parties, including LPG agents and bases, to ensure distribution runs smoothly. Currently, the distribution of subsidized LPG in Garut is carried out by 53 agents and 1,555 bases, which supply around 2,320,000 tubes every month to meet the needs of the community in 42 sub-districts in the Garut area.

Dedi added, in addition to maintaining smooth supply, his party will also carry out strict supervision in the field to prevent potential irregularities such as hoarding or mixing of subsidized LPGs. For this reason, the local government has formed a supervisory team that will conduct surprise inspections to various LPG selling places to ensure distribution runs according to the rules.

This effort is a follow-up to the mandate given by the Regent and Deputy Regent of Garut to all levels of local government to pay attention to the priorities of the basic needs of the community, especially in facing National Religious Holidays such as Fasting and Eid Al-Fitr 1446 Hijriah.
