Still Reluctant To Export Green Electricity, Bahlil Asks Singapore To Invest
JAKARTA - Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia is still reluctant to export green electricity to Singapore. According to him, this electricity export license will only be granted if Singapore is willing to invest in Indonesia.
"He has to invest together. We are pushing downstream. We are pushing downstream, yes, he is also investing together. Let's not send new energy, he asked for CCS, then Indonesia opo?" said Bahlil quoted on Saturday, February 22.
Bahlil said, actually the government is willing to carry out green electricity export activities, as long as these activities are also supported by Singapore's good intentions in investment activities.
"I've already said that for exporting electricity to Singapore, we don't have a problem, but I asked Singapore to love Indonesia?" said Bahlil.

The chairman of the Golkar Party added that President Prabowo Subianto also directed to prioritize domestic needs. This is in accordance with the President's aspirations, one of which prioritizes energy security.
"So I don't want our country to lose its dignity from other countries that seem like other countries want our intervention. We are good with other countries, we will love other countries, but other countries must also be good to us," he said.
Nevertheless, Bahlil admitted that his team and Singapore are currently negotiating electricity exports and investments to be carried out in Indonesia.
"Our team and a team from Singapore are still negotiating, looking for a good format," said Bahlil.
