Cybersecurity And IoT Become The Priority Training Of The Ministry Of Manpower And Komdigi For Indonesian Pekreja

JAKARTA - The implementation of artificial intelligence (AI) technology has proven to have a positive impact on all work sectors. Therefore, it is important for workers to adapt to today's technology.

To answer these challenges, the Ministry of Manpower collaborates with the Ministry of Communication and Digital to harmonize the training program for Indonesian workers to meet industrial needs in the digital era.

One form of collaboration is to transform the training center belonging to the Ministry of Manpower, where they will start providing a lot of content for training that has IT and digital nature.

"We have now agreed that the approach must be from demand, so we will first map out what industry needs, later we will cooperate with Kadin and APINDO," said Minister of Manpower Yassierli when met at the Ministry of Communication and Industry Office Friday, February 21.

Menkomdigi Meutya Hafid also added that this collaboration will strengthen the digital ecosystem in Indonesia. Komdigi will also support the Ministry of Manpower's initiative by preparing IT training.

"So we are unifying two forces, he (Kemenaker) has many centers, we also have instructors working with stakeholders. So if this is done well, God willing, the job creation will be even better," said Meutya.

To ensure this program runs effectively, the two Ministries are also considering the formation of a small task force devoted to overseeing the implementation of digital-based training.

In developing digital labor, the government has identified 44 priority digital competencies, including cybersecurity, programming, digital infrastructure, content creators, the Internet of Things (IoT) and so on.
