Ministry Of Manpower And Komdigi Synergize Strengthening Digital Competency Of Workers In Indonesia
Minister of Communication and Digital Affairs Meutya Hafid received a visit from the Minister of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia Yassierli to discuss the importance of strengthening digital competence for Indonesian workers.
During the meeting, Yassierli said he would collaborate with the Ministry of Communication and Digi to improve digital competence for all workers, to fill the need for 9 million digital talents by 2030.
This collaboration also discusses the transformation of work training centers owned by the Ministry of Manpower on a regular basis. Yassierli revealed that the training will focus not only on traditional manufacturing, but will also cover IT and digital fields.
"So it's not just manufacturing training related to electronics, workshops and so on. But it also has to start a lot of content for IT and digital training," he said on Friday, February 21 at the Kemkomdigi office.
And thirdly, the Ministry of Manpower and the Ministry of Communication and Trade also discussed how both parties can create a small task force or cooperation and how tools related to IT can help increase the nation's productivity.

Meanwhile, Menkomdigi Meutya also emphasized that strengthening this digital ecosystem will involve various parties, including training instructors from his ministry and industry players.
"So if this is done well, God willing, the job creation will be even better," said Meutya.
This collaboration is expected to strengthen the relationship between industry and educational institutions, as well as ensure that trained workers have skills that suit the needs of the world of work that continues to develop in the digital era.
