JAKARTA - The 2025 MotoGP will start soon at the end of February 2025. Ahead of the new season, Honda as one of the manufacturers that also enlivened the competition emphasized its optimism.

The first series of the season will open with the Thai MotoGP which will take place at the Buriram Circuit. The race starts on February 28-1 March 2025.

Before officially paving at the end of February 2025, Honda became the team that managed to occupy second place in the race test session.

Honda's best driver on the agenda was held by Joan Mir who recorded a time of 0.339 seconds later than Aprilia's Marco Bezzecki, in first place.

Referring to the result, Repsol Honda Team Manager, Alberto Puig, then felt optimistic about his team's chances in the 2025 season. Especially if it pulled back, in the 2024 Honda season it never recorded a victory or podium.

Honda is in the lowest position of the constructors' standings with a collection of 75 points.

"All drivers try very hard, they are motivated, but the race doesn't last for a lap or two."

"You have to pay attention to speed. There are many things that can happen at the end of the race," Puig said as quoted by GP One, Friday, February 21, 2025.

"You have to be aware of that. We can be a little more optimistic on Sunday when you see everything," he said again.
