Mees Hilgers Is Amazed By The Indonesian National Team Coach
JAKARTA - The Indonesian national team player, Mees Hilgers, revealed that he has a positive view of the new ranks of coaches at the Garuda Squad.
The presence of Patrick Kluivert and a series of his assistants in the chair of the captain of the Indonesian national team was welcomed by Mees Hilgers. The 23-year-old player who had met directly with Kluiver admitted that he was impressed by the presence of these great figures.
"Yes, we have dinner with them. Yes, they are good coaches, they give a good first impression," said Mees Hilgers as quoted by Voetbalprimeur, Friday, February 21, 2025.
Mees Hilgers, who is currently playing with the Dutch club, FC Twenty, admitted that he could not wait for the work of the Indonesian national team in the 2026 World Cup Qualifiers which will resume in March 2025 against Australia and Bahrain.

In the Indonesian national team, Mees Hilgers has played twice so far. The first Caps was played when the Indonesian national team detained Bahrain on October 10, 2025, where at that time Hilgers could play 90 minutes.
Meanwhile, Hilgers' second match with the Indonesian national team occurred when the Garuda squad lost 1-2 to China. After that, Hilgers was not included in the squad against Japan and Saudi Arabia.
The Indonesian national team will face Australia in Sydney on March 20, 2025. Five days later, it was the turn of the Indonesian national team to host Bahrain at the Gelora Bung Karno (SUGBK) Main Stadium.
