To Students, Deputy Chairperson Of Commission X Of The DPR Ensures That PTN Assistance Is Still Budgeted And Not Cut Into Pieces

JAKARTA - Deputy Chairman of Commission X DPR RI, Then Hadrian Irfani responded to the demands of students who demonstrated regarding the discourse of increasing single tuition fees (UKT). Then ensure that assistance for state universities (PTN) will still be budgeted by the government of President Prabowo Subianto.

"I have told the students that the operational assistance for state universities (BOPTN) was not cut by 50 or 60 percent. The BOPTN is still budgeted by the Prabowo administration," said Lalu, Friday, February 21.

Then he said President Prabowo was very concerned and focused on education. So according to him, it is impossible for BOPTN to be cut, especially since the assistance is very important for public universities and students.

"Our Commission X will guarantee that the BOPTN will still be budgeted by the government. We will oversee the budget for state universities," he said.

If the BOPTN is still budgeted by the government, continued Lalu, it will not have an impact on the increase in single tuition fees (UKT) or tuition fees.

"We will fight so that UKT is not raised, because it will burden students," said Lalu Ari.

The PKB legislator from the NTB II electoral district also ensured that the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP) for Lectures was not affected by budget efficiency. The KIP Lecture Budget prepared is IDR 14.69 trillion.

"KIP Lecture is a priority program and President Prabowo Subianto's flagship, so it is not part of budget efficiency. KIP Lecture is very important for students," said Lalu.

Then added, he will also fight for all educational scholarships not to be subject to budget efficiency. Both Indonesian Education Scholarships (BPI), Higher Education Affirmation Scholarships (ADik), Development State Partnership Scholarships (KNB), and scholarships for domestic and foreign educators.
