PDIP The Value Of The KPK Does Not Have An Urgency To Hold Hasto Kristiyanto
Chairman of the PDIP DPP for Legal Reform Ronny Talapessy assessed that there was no urgency for the KPK to detain Hasto Kristiyanto as a suspect in the Harun Masiku case, because the PDIP secretary general had been cooperative.
"There is no urgency to make arrests. Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto is always cooperative, and we are also still following the pretrial process," said Ronny at a press conference at the PDIP DPP office in Central Jakarta, Thursday, February 20.
Ronny, who is also Hasto's attorney, said that the KPK's reason for detaining Hasto Kristiyanto from escaping was too far-fetched.
If the reason for running away, Mas Hasto will not go anywhere and always obey and come every time he is called. As a secretary general, he is also busy working on many party agendas, including preparing a congress. So it is impossible to run," he said.
Previously, the KPK decided to detain Hasto Kristiyanto after being questioned as a suspect in the bribery and obstruction case of Harun Masiku's investigation on Thursday (20/2/2025). Hasto was detained for the next 20 days and could be extended for investigation purposes.
