After Wearing The Orange Vest, Hasto Proposes Suspension Of Detention To The KPK
This was conveyed by Maqdir after accompanying Hasto to undergo an examination from 10.00 WIB until 18.02 WIB at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta on Thursday, February 20.
"Earlier I submitted a letter of suspension of detention. However, later we will submit it back, maybe tomorrow or the day after tomorrow," Maqdir told reporters quoted on Friday, February 21.
Maqdir said the resistance to Hasto's suspect status would continue to be carried out by his party. The politician was caught in a bribery case in the interim replacement management (PAW) of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives and the obstruction of the investigation.
"So I think for sure we will fight back. This is not the end of our resistance, instead this is the beginning of our resistance," he said.
He said this resistance was not carried out because there was no cause. According to Maqdir, the KPK does not hold evidence of Hasto's alleged actions.
"This is really a detention that has no urgency and there is no reason," said the lawyer.
Diberitakan sebelumnya, Sekjen PDIP Hasto Kristiyanto resmi ditahan terkait kasus suap pengurusan pergantian antarwaktu (PAW) anggota DPR RI dan perintangan penyidikan. Ia akan menempati Cabang Rumah Tahanan Negara dari Rumah Tahanan Negara Klas I Jakarta Timur selama 20 hari dan bisa diperpanjang sesuai kebutuhan penyidik.
