Del Pino Expressed His Current Condition After Becoming A Victim Of Throwing In The Match Against Persija

JAKARTA - Persib Bandung midfielder, Tyronne del Pino, revealed the latest conditions after being a victim of throwing bottles by spectators in the match against Persija Jakarta.

The Spaniard suffered injuries to his right temple due to a throw that occurred after the match at Patriot Candrabhaga Stadium, Bekasi, on Sunday, February 16, 2025.

According to Del Pino's confession, he had avoided throwing the first bottle when the game was over. However, when the second bottle was thrown, he couldn't avoid it and hit his temple until he was injured.

"At that time, I felt a little pain. However, now I'm fine. I've felt better," he said as quoted from Persib's official website quoted on Thursday, February 20, 2025.

Responding to this incident, Del Pino hopes that this kind of situation will not happen again in football. According to him, football must continue to develop without any more violent acts that could hinder the progress of football.

"To be honest, it's very sad to talk about a situation like this in 2025. I think football should continue to develop. It's a shame things like this are still happening at the stadium," he said.

He also hopes that similar incidents will not happen again in all stadiums in Indonesia so that Indonesian football will continue to develop.

"I hope this kind of incident doesn't happen again in all Indonesian stadiums. We have to protect the players, take care of the staff, because security is the most important thing," he said.

After a match full of rivalry between Persija vs Persib, Bojan Hodak as coach of Maung Bandung has ensured that all his players are in good shape.

The Croatian coach said the players who played in the match against Persija only did light training, while those who did not play were given an additional training menu by Hodak.

"So, only players who don't play 90 minutes get additional training. While those who started yesterday, they only do recovery," Hodak said as quoted by Antara.

In the next match, Persib Bandung will host Madura United in the 24th week at the GBLA Stadium, Bandung. The match will be held on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 19.00 WIB.
