West Java Governor's Breakthrough After Inauguration: Removed Principal Of SMAN 6 Depok Today
West Java (Jabar) Governor Dedi Mulyadi disabled the Principal (Kepsek) of SMAN 6 Depok for violating the travel procedures and allegations of illegal levies (extortion) against parents of students.
This was stated by Dedi when asked about his policy on the first day as governor, after being inaugurated by President Prabowo Subianto.
"I immediately started working, today I also immediately started working. Today there has been a decision regarding the deactivation of the head of SMA Negeri 6 Depok," he said at the Presidential Palace Complex, Jakarta, Thursday, February 20, which was confiscated by Antara.
Dedi said the village head was found to have violated the Acting Governor's Circular regarding the prohibition of students traveling outside West Java Province.
In addition, Dedi also sent a team of inspectors to investigate reports about illegal levies that burdened the parents of students at the school.
"This is one part that we will fix, and today the inspector has also ordered to check whether there are levies at the school outside the provisions or not," he said.
Dedi emphasized that this step is part of an effort to fix education management in West Java.

According to him, the inspectorate team is also investigating alleged violations in the Indonesia Smart Program (PIP) as a policy of the West Java Provincial Government in distributing cash assistance to students.
According to Dedi, illegal levies, and study tours are often a problem that burdens the community.
"In this first performance, I want to fix management in the education sector, because issues such as PIP, levies, and study tours are very disturbing to the people of West Java," he said.
The governor hopes that this firm action can be a strong signal for all parties in the educational environment to carry out their duties according to the rules and prioritize the interests of students and the community.
