Responding To The KPK's Call Today, Hasto: Sorry It's Late, Three Bus Messages Canceled
The Secretary General of the PDI-P (PDIP) Hasto Kristiyanto fulfilled the summons of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) today, Thursday, February 20. He will undergo examination as a suspect in the bribery case for the interim replacement management (PAW) of members of the Indonesian House of Representatives and the obstruction of the investigation.
From field observations, Hasto arrived at the KPK's Red and White building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta at around 09.52 WIB with his team of attorneys, including Ronny B. Talapessy who is also the Chair of the PDIP DPP for Reform to Maqdir Ismail.
Not only that, Hasto's presence was also welcomed by the Cakra Buana Task Force (Satgas) which wore a red beret. Then there were also party sympathizers who came in a command car and adjusted the march to the PDIP hydrant and speechd.
"I'm sorry it was a bit late because the bus we ordered had three cancels. Were the options not. What is clear is that we had tried to replace the three buses but in the end they still came so we were late," Hasto told reporters at the location.
Hasto called his arrival an effort to show a cooperative attitude before the law. "Even though from the start we understood that there were so many political agendas related to my case," he said.
He said the various political agendas that appeared in this case were when witnesses were intimidated to evidence obtained illegally.
"Even though I was colored by various practices of violating the law and intimidation, I still came to the KPK," he said.
Previously reported, the KPK still scheduled an examination of PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto on Thursday, February 20. He will be questioned as a suspect even though he has asked for a postponement of the examination for filing a pretrial for the second time to the South Jakarta District Court (PN).
"Stay scheduled (examination, ed)," said Tessa, quoted on Thursday, February 20.
