Deadly Crossing At Pondok Jati Station, 15-year-old Boy Life In Front Of His Father And Brother

JAKARTA - The railroad crossing (KA) of Pondok Jati, Matraman, East Jakarta, again claimed lives on Wednesday, February 19, evening. This time, the victim came from a motorbike passenger who was caught in a traffic jam at the Pondok Jati train crossing. The victim with the initials E (15) a junior high school student in East Jakarta. He was killed by a freight train from the direction of Jatinegara.

The incident occurred around 19.00 WIB. According to Kevin, the victim's twin brother, the incident occurred when his father and his twin brother (the victim died) were crossing the railroad crossing.

"My sister, riding with my father on a motorbike. The motorbike is stuck at the crossing because in front of there is a car that stops (trapped in traffic). Then the train comes and is hit by a train," Kevin told reporters at the scene.

The motorbike driven by the victim came from Utan Kayu to Jalan Raya Matraman. When the motorbike passed at the railroad crossing, there was a traffic jam.

Not only did the motorbike driven by the victim's father who was stuck in traffic jams, the car was also stuck in traffic jams. The car was also hit by a train but the driver survived, while the car only suffered abrasions.

"Because in front of there is a car so the motorbike can't move. It was hit by a train from the direction of Jatinegara Station," he said.

Currently at around 19:36 WIB, the victim has been evacuated to Pondok Jati Station while waiting for an ambulance.
