Ask For The Hashtag #KaburAjaDulu To Be Changed, Minister Karding: More Productive
JAKARTA - Indonesian Migrant Worker Protection Minister (P2MI) Abdul Kadir Karding encourages the hashtag #KaburAjaDulu which is currently viral on social media to be replaced with a more productive tone.
The goal is to make the image of working abroad more positive.
Karding said the emergence of the hashtag #KaburAjaDulu must be seen as input for the government to work better.
Even so, according to him, this hashtag is better off replacing with a much more positive invitation like #AyoBekerjadi Outer Negeri.
"So friends of the younger generation, Gen-Z and so on who want to go abroad, we change this hashtag to a more productive hashtag, let's just work abroad," said Karding at the P2MI Ministry Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, February 19.
According to Karding, working abroad can also help the national economy. For example, through remittances that enter from abroad.
"So that apart from getting our wishes, we want to try to migrate abroad, but also we can help our country with remittances entering from abroad," he explained.
Karding admits that the potential for jobs abroad is quite large. In fact, based on his records, in 2024 alone there will be 1.3 million job offers from abroad.
"And I need to convey the potential for work, last year our job order was 1.3 million, we only filled 297,000," he said.
Furthermore, Karding said, the job offer came from various countries.
For example, he said, from Japan, which offered as many as 100,000 to 200,000 job vacancies.
"In Arabia, if we open this, God willing, we ask for 200,000 to 300,000, not to mention Hong Kong, Taiwan, not to mention Europe. Europe has also started to ask us a lot," he said.
Karding said the job offer consisted of various sectors. Starting from health, manufacturing, to agriculture. The total job positions offered also reached thousands.
"There are many sectors, so starting from the health sector, manufacturing, agriculture, then also other sectors in 100 countries. If there are many jobs, up to almost a thousand job positions," said Karding.

"I hope friends who want to escape abroad are better off equip themselves with good skills, good language mastery. Then mentally strong, the last one going abroad must be with existing procedures," he said.
Furthermore, Karding said, compliance with procedures for foreign workers from Indonesia needs to be done to ensure national protection.
"So when he comes out, we hope that everything is well recorded. So we know his position and what he is working on and so on," he said.
