Dortmund Maintain Hope To Champions League After Defeating Union Berlin 2-0

JAKARTA - Borussia Dortmund continues to maintain hope for the Champions League next season after overcoming Union Berlin 2-0 in Week 30 of the German League at Signal Iduna Park Stadium, Wednesday local time (Thursday, western Indonesia time).

Goals from Marco Reus and Raphael Guerreiro have made Dortmund who is in fifth place now collect 52 points or cut the gap to four points from the top four.

Meanwhile, Union (43), who lost their second in their last five matches, was stuck in eighth place in the standings, as reported by Antara on the official website of the German League.

Erling Haaland failed to put Dortmund ahead in the 27th minute when his penalty was countered by goalkeeper Andreas Luthe.

Luckily for Dortmund, Reus was close enough to grab a throwing ball and drive it into the Union net to open the hosts' lead.

Dortmund's dominance continued to fail to convert to the second goal until finally, Raphael Guerreiro locked their 2-0 victory two minutes before normal time dispersed.
